Snowball fight

Snowball fight is a based off of a Tutorial Battle Royale game on zenva Academy.

In the game, players spawn in a small map and fight to be the last one standing while a dangerously painful forcefield quickly closes in.

​

The game functions mostly off of Photon's "Pun" system, using RPCs and Transform views to locate and hit other players

General thematic

In order to create an icy and snowy thematic, I changed all the assets to be snowballs and hot chocolate.  I changed all the material colors to be white and blue, while the forcefield turns grey and truly resembles a snowstorm with added fog

Bullets become snowballs, and players freeze and become ice statues after they "die!"

The Idea

While following the zenva Academy tutorial on building a battle royale in unity, I thought the way the bullets were set up felt like throwing snowballs.

When I had the chance to, I decided to make everything into a snowy and wintery theme.

Menu UI

Because the game is multiplayer, menu screens and ui are very important. There are about 3 screens for creating and browsing libraries alone.

​

I wanted to follow the theme of snow with the menus, and I took some inspiration from JackboxGames Lobby screens and created an animated snowy landscape lobby
